Nike LeBron 12 ‘Akron Birch’
When we first got a look at the Nike LeBron 12 ‘Akron Birch‘ it was obviously this years Christmas sneaker for LeBron James with the snowflake on the tongue. Also what I think hindered it from having more pictures be leaked is the immediate negative response the shoes received. I will be completely honest I thought maybe an ugly sweater theme was what they were going for here.
Regardless of the fact this sneaker will be dropping this 12/26 at select participating retailers and will be worn Christmas Day when Bron and the Cavs play Miami. Speaking of here is a little observation. Notice the somewhat “south beach” look these have? Maybe I am reaching but I think this is Nike Basketball way of continuing the over saturated SB theme, what do you guys think?
The LEBRON 12 was developed to meet James’s performance needs based on research from the Nike Sport Research Lab. Nike Zoom Air technology is brought to a new level on this shoe. The emerald green base combines with the shoe’s photorealistic camouflage upper on the Hyperposite shell. The camo pattern is inspired by Akron, Ohio’s winter weather and includes a birch tree pattern. Black and Hyperpunch micro dots integrate into the camo pattern for a seasonal touch. A notable subtlety of this shoe is the snowflake formed by small hexagons on the tongue loop.
