Lets recap for a second. We received word that there was a Nike Kyrie 1 ‘Double Nickel’, which is pictured here, that was expected to release overseas in accordance with the Nike Basketball ‘Opening Night’ Collection. Considering Ky Irv is still on reserve due to injury it seemed unlikely that these would come state side. Yesterday we received a look at the ‘Camo’ Kyrie 1 which was a PE Irving wore in celebration of Veterans Day and then we received a first look at the Pepsi x Nike Kyrie 1 ‘Uncle Drew’ which is limited to 150 pairs.
Nice bit of information on the Kyrie 1 within the last week or so if I must say.
Now today we are back to visit the ‘Double Nickel’ colorway which is referencing the scorching scoring outburst he had against Portland. As we know the detailing features an all white 3M base on the upper, metallic silver on the back heel, red on the swoosh and the conventional KI logo is replaced on both tongues with two nickels. Also on the back the # 2 is flipped upside down to look like 5s.
