The design of the KOBE X Vino basketball shoe evokes transparency via the shoe’s translucent components and color story. Early in his career, Bryant found that breaking bread over a glass of wine was a great way to solidify trust and bond together as friends and teammates. Those memories provided direct inspiration for the KOBE X Vino, where the color tone stems from green grapes used for white wine.
The KOBE X Vino will be featured in a one-of-a-kind mobile experience on nike.com, a first ever for Nike Basketball. This experience will tell the inside story behind the KOBE X using webGL technology that showcases an interactive model of the shoe, haptic vibrations, animations and audio direct from Bryant.
The KOBE X Vino will be available globally at nike.com and select retail locations on March 7. Coordinating apparel will also be available.
