The third leading scorer in Kobe Bryant is planning to end the year 2014 off on a positive note. As we anticipate the release of his Christmas Day sneaker ‘Knit Stocking’ we will get this, what many are crowning Red October inspired, Nike Kobe 9 KRM EXT ‘Challenge Red’.
Expecting to release this Friday, the Mamba meets the Red Viper with this new colorway and Footaction is letting it be known they will be releasing these as well.

The Nike Kobe 9 KRM EXT ‘Challenge Red’ features a red-based upper, comprised of compression molded TPU triangles, which resemble a viper’s vibrant pointy scales. The latest variation of the popular Nike Kobe 9 is much different than any Kobe signature we’ve seen before. Premium Challenge Red leather is present on the heel and collar, while a Black midsole produces a striking juxtaposition that contours chrome inlays to shine off the court. Last but not least, the sneaker utilizes a swoosh-less upper which is very surprising for this edition of the Kobe 9.
