There is absolutely no wrong this colorway can do, so with that being said aside from the ‘Peach Cream’ the Nike Kobe 9 EM ‘China’ is probably my second favorite colorway. The way the hits of gold and black sit on the university red is just perfect in my opinion. Add the design down the tongue and you have yourself a walk of an art.
Take a look at the detailed pictures as well as the release details of what you will be looking forward to purchasing this upcoming weekend. Also down in the comments let us know if these are a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
It’s commonplace nowadays that signature athletes spend their summers traveling abroad promoting their shoe lines and the game of basketball in general and every year, China is a mandatory stop on the international tour. Being one of the veterans of the sneaker business and one of the most recognizable names and faces in world sports, Kobe Bryant makes an annual visit to the world’s most populous country. Nike always puts on a spectacle when Kobe is in town due to his large fanbase there, and this year even went so far as to build him a complete LED lit basketball court. To commemorate the relationship between Kobe and China, the Kobe 9 will drop this weekend in a special “China” University Red/Metallic Gold-Black colorway. The release has a red upper with gold accents on the Nike Swoosh, speckles on the midsole, and heel design. The shoe also features a Chinese art pattern on the entirety of the tongue. The shoe is finished by a clean white outsole.
The Nike Kobe 9 “China” drops this Saturday, August 30th at House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EDT) for $180. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release.
