Another day another set of detailed pictures accompanied with some release details. Interesting enough the Nike Kobe 9 Elite ‘Brave Blue’ is a dope colorway but after reading Footaction release details it made me wonder why? Why are these online only for this specific retailer?.. I hope they don’t end up being some kind of limited release, even though I doubt it.
Anyway Nike is going to be Nike so to help you guys be sure to land a pair check out the information below provided by FTA and let us know down in the comments if these will be a DEF Cop or DEF Not. The hues of blue work perfect for me so you all should know what I am leaning towards.
In honor of the late Jerry Buss, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Brave Blue” borrows the hue that adorned the owner’s poker playing jacket. The Los Angeles Lakers identity of ‘Showtime’ started with the late great Jerry Buss, who bought the team in 1979. Buss was a high-stakes poker player over the years, finishing third in the 1991 World Series of Poker seven-card stud event and second place in the 2003 World Poker Tour Freeroll invitational, which invited the concept of showmanship to Los Angeles. His signature look while seated at the table inspires a new colorway of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite. The ‘Brave Blue’ Kobe 9 incorporates a full flyknit upper into the high top silhouette, as well as a metallic silver Swoosh design gives the shoe the premium feel of an Elite release. Finally, red accents round out the shoe on the heel pattern while teal takes care of the lace loops.
Available online only Saturday.
