The new Nike KD 9 ‘Birds of Paradise’ is a colorway that has recently been unveiled and looks great. While we have seen the multicolor hit the upcoming ‘Unlimited’ KD, the ‘Birds of Paradise’ continues the trend. While the multicolor on the ‘Unlimited’ was inspired by the Rio Olympics, ‘Birds of Paradise’ takes on a inspiration of its own. Featuring shades of green throughout the flyknit, if my theory is correct the Nike KD 9 ‘Birds of Paradise’ is inspired by the Paradise Tanager bird which sports similar color hues throughout its fur.
Nike has announced that this colorway will see a release this upcoming August 19, 2016 for the retail price of $150. With time an official storyline regarding this colorway will be announced and hopefully my theory is right. I am pretty sure I am but we will see.
