After seeing Nike KD 8 ‘July 4th‘ in person this past weekend, I am officially a fan of Kevin Durants’ 8th signature shoe. No surprise here, honestly I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.
Now that you guys have gotten the festivities of July 4th out of your system it is time to look forward to a new colorway that we have seen before its unveiling the Nike KD 8 ‘V8‘. The folks at Nike have now released their official unveiling along with a brief look at what drew inspiration for this colorway.

Kevin Durant’s matte red customized Camaro, a symbol of #35’s tenacity, drives the aesthetic behind the KD8 V8, the first major colorway drop of Durant’s eighth signature shoe. The storyline goes deeper than color; the car — one of the six-time All-Star’s biggest initial investments — continually reminds Durant that an unrelenting commitment to hard work pays off.
The KD8 V8 is built with innovation for all ages. From toddler to adult, the collective design team obsessed adapting the shoe’s light, tight and progressive design for all ages beginning with a crib bootie on up to Durant’s custom-built size 17.5.
The KD8 V8 is available globally beginning July 11 on nike.com and select retail locations. Durant will reveal additional, hidden details shaping each KD8 shoe over the coming weeks.
