What do you get when one of your marquee signature athletes have a shoe that he unfortunately injures himself in? A shoe that is frowned upon which then calls for a drastic change for the next one.
Look at what happened with the LeBron 11, LeBron James experience a lot of discomfort with that shoe as Kevin Durant has with his KD 7.
As the year ended for our former MVP and scoring, many wondered what to expect with the Nike KD 8. The only real news we were granted with prior to today’s first look is that we could expect a whole lot of flyknit.
The KD 8 is said to feature almost this Nike Air Max look but is obviously a basketball shoe, sort of like the Kobe line as of late. In a previous interview with Sneaker Reporter, KD did say his next shoe would be game changing. That looks to be the case as the tech so far includes, Engineered Mesh, Dynamic Flywire, TPU heel counter and as pointed out a saber tooth fang which is reportedly being inspired by KDs tattoo.
Not to mention the Air Max unit is one not seen before on a basketball shoe, so it looks as if the KD 8 is going all out with lightness and breathablity.
As of right now, it is being said the Nike KD 8 is to release this July 2015.
Check out the first look pictures that have been provided below and let us know down in the comments your thoughts on this upcoming new signature shoe for Kevin Durant.
I am interested in seeing what colorways they go with, right now this Bright Crimson gives me a “Global Games” feel, which I am not totally sold on.
