To keep tradition rolling with their annual release in this specific colorway, the Nike KD 7 ‘Wild West’ heads back to Texas as every Kevin Durant signature shoe has each year. Only difference this year is the nickname Nike decided to go with.
Check out these detailed pictures and the release details provided by Foot Locker for this Texas Longhorn inspired colorway which drops this friday and let us know down in the comments will they be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
This colorway is reminiscent of the KD 5’s but that model really didn’t cut it so with them to go back to it with the 7 was a risk and one well worth it. I might need a pair myself.
Kevin Durant only played basketball at the University of Texas for one year, but his impact and love of the Longhorns is well documented. Continuing that passion for UT, Nike and KD will release a special ‘Wild West’ version of his latest signature kicks, the KD7, this Friday. Featuring a silver and orange color scheme that’s set off with a metallic Hyperposite heel, the the KD7 ‘Wild West’ shoe takes inspiration from the Longhorn State and the Austin culture that Durant enjoyed. Knowing little about Texas and southwest hospitality, Durant immediately felt at home when he arrived on campus in Austin. The friendly welcome extended beyond the basketball court as Durant enjoyed the music, people, food and culture that was distinctly Austin.
The Nike KD7 ‘Wild West’ drops this Friday, December 19th at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EST) for $150. Grade school kids sizes will also be available ($115).
