While Kevin Durant is still wearing the Nike KD 6, we will continue to be getting new colorways of his current signature shoe. Not that it matters to me I would buy the shoe either way but it is starting to reach the LeBron 11 status as far as being seen on court.
I am all for the crazy colorways and storylines but in traditional Nike form, they push the envelope just a little bit too far for my liking. Of course with the NIke KD 7 EXT ‘Longhorn State’ we are just following in the footsteps of other EXTs in my opinion, but with the likes of the ‘Plaid & Polka Dots‘, these ‘Longhorn States’ are just the tip of the iceberg.
Check out the Foot Locker release details below along with their detailed pictures and let us know in the comments will they be a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
Austin, Texas will always be a special place to Kevin Durant. It’s where his Maryland upbringings welcomed unfamiliar southern flare. It’s where the freshman baller registered an award-winning season. It’s where his play energized a campus, having fans waving the index and pinky fingers with pride.
Celebrating Durant’s collegiate career, the latest KD 7 EXT returns in animal print, taking inspiration from his universities’ rich heritage. The upper features all-over pony hair, mirroring the steer’s spotted hide. Black accents are present on a suede flocked midsole, signature strap and tongue where his initials are displayed. Cementing Durant’s one-year legacy before turning pro, a branded Swoosh on the toe and heel marks two of his greatest achievements–leading all freshmen in scoring and becoming the first freshman to win the most prestigious player award that season. Tying the design together, a gum sole contours a responsive Zoom Air Bag in the heel for lasting comfort.
The Nike KD 7 EXT ‘Longhorn State’ drops this Friday at House of Hoops by Foot Locker stores and Footlocker.com starting at 10:00 a.m. EST for $200. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release.
