The Nike KD 7 has received very positive feedback with its initial release of the new signature shoe in its ‘USA’/’July 4th’ colorway. This next release is a favorite of mine, we first seen it as the ‘DMV’ colorway on the Nike KD 5 and its back with the Nike KD 7 as ‘35,000 degrees’. The folks at Foot Locker have released some new detailed pictures as well as some release details which is sure to come in handy if you guys want to cop a pair.
Take a look and let us know if these are a DEF Cop or DEF Not.
Legend has it that lightning never strikes the same place twice. Fact is, neither does Kevin Durant; he strikes from everywhere on the court. Nike has designed Durant’s seventh signature shoe to the specifications of the reigning Most Valuable Player and one of basketball’s most dynamic stars. The KD7 combines leading performance innovation with a colorful narrative pulled from Durant’s fascination with meteorology that began as a child and continues today.
The newest KD7 colorway narrative begins with lightning, and more specifically the average temperature of a lightning strike – 35,000 degrees Fahrenheit. It also builds on KD’s insight of wanting to be lightning-quick.
The shoe features a bright mango upper, volt outsole and hits of deep grey to represent the electric nature of lightning strikes. Stratospheric graphics and nods to lightning also appear on the sole and Swoosh.A matching Nike Elite Digital Ink sock using Nike’s new proprietary sock-printing process hooks to the shoe, apparel and a backpack to form the KD7 35,000 Degrees Collection.
The Nike KD7 “35,000 Degrees” will be available starting this Saturday, July 12th at Foot Locker, House of Hoops by Foot Locker and Footlocker.com (starting at 8:00 a.m. EDT) for $150. Kids grade school ($115), pre-school ($75) and toddler ($55) sizes will also be available. Check the Launch Locator to see which stores will have this release. Look for the apparel to be in stores this week.
