Remember back in 2011 when Sole Collector released their ‘Penny Pack’ which was exclusively to Las Vegas? I do and was pretty upset I couldn’t get myself a pair. Penny Hardaway’s signature shoe line is one of my favorites and when I saw the Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Sole Collector’ I was instantly a fan. Well we fast forward to now and that same sneaker, with a few alterations of course is set to make its long awaited return. The official colorway for the Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Varsity Royal’ is Black/Varsity Royal-Metallic Silver and the icing on the cake is of course the icy sole.
As for a release date it has been made known by the folks at WearTesters.com that we can expect for this colorway to officially hit retailers on April 8, 2016 for the retail price of $160. For those who have SC pairs, you don’t need to panic yours are still unique but for those like myself I will definitely be all over this release. Check out the pictures provided by Sneaker Champs on eBay and let us know down in the comments if they will be a DEF Cop or DEF Not. If by any chance a release date is changed we will keep you guys well informed.
UPDATE: Here are official Nike pictures for the upcoming Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Varsity Royal’ which is expected to release this April 8, 2016. The colorway is Black/Varsity Royal-Metallic Silver and it happens to be the same as the Sole Collector Penny 2’s that released a few years back but with obvious changes.
