The 1999-2000 season was a happier time for the New York Knicks. Led by sharpshooter Allan Houston, that team was fresh off an NBA Finals appearance and made a return trip to the Eastern Conference Finals. During part of this stretch, Houston famously laced up the Nike Air Flightposite in a Knicks-themed Player Exclusive colorway. For years, the elusive ‘H20? has been a highly sought after commodity among collectors of the rarest kicks. While most of us will never own that shoe, we will have the chance to pick up the classic colorway this weekend.
For the first time ever, the Air Flightposite is being released in the ‘Knicks’ colorway. The shoe features a pearlized white foamposite upper, bordering a royal blue zip shroud with orange-bordered Swoosh branding. Zoom units in the forefoot and heel provide low-profile cushioning. Below, a blue translucent rubber outsole for durability and traction.
