Nicki Minaj will release Gag City Reloaded, the deluxe edition of Pink Friday II, on Friday, September 13. The announcement was complemented by a series of posts on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. According to the New York native, she recently recorded one of the five best verses of the “Pink Friday II era.”
“[I] didn’t really want to have to speak on this, but I just can’t stay quiet about it any longer. Last night, I recorded what will probably be your favorite song on the deluxe. It will immediately go into your top [five] of the entire [Pink Friday II] era,” she wrote.
Minaj is more than nine months removed from the release of her fifth studio album, Pink Friday II. Released last December, the 22-track project featured Drake, J. Cole, Lil’ Wayne, Future and Lil’ Uzi Vert among others. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart with 228,000 units moved in its first week.
Since the album was released, Minaj has embarked on the Pink Friday II World Tour. The first leg of the tour kicked off in March and ran through July with Monica stepping in as the opening act. In September, the tour will resume with Tyga, Bia and Skillibeng coming as the opening acts.
