It’s no secret that Kevin Love isn’t content in Minneapolis. But he’s still there and is going to try (what I think) one more time to make the Playoffs. That’s why they are this years “What if…?” Team. What if they keep the injuries to a minimum? What if Pekovic commits to the whole season? What if Derrick Williams lives up to his potential? All these and more will be answered. But lets recap on last night.
Boston Celtics 89 Minnesota Timberwolves 105 Kevin Love could’ve got 30 if he really wanted to. He had the Celtics defence wrapped round his finger. 22 points and 9 rebounds. Rubio gets the usual 7 assists and K-Mart gets 21. Here’s some Kevin sharing the Love… (See what I did there?)
And you know we have some Rubio magic…
Memphis Grizzlies 90 Atlanta Hawks 82 Memphis faithful. You can thank Jerryd Bayless for the win. 22 points hitting 6-6 from three! He only missed one shot all game! Only two players from ATL got double digit points (Millsap & Teague).
Sacramento Kings 105 Portland Trail Blazers 109 Sacramento did very well knowing that Cousins was going to sit out this game. Patrick Patterson took the helm very well with 27 points, Chuck Hayes took control of the boards with 11 rebounds, Thomas dished 10 times and my boy Ben McLemore got 23 points. But somehow… They lost. I think it was because Damian Lillard is a tank. 28 points, knocking 4 threes and with help from Batum, Robinson and Lopez the pulled out the win. Now watch this left handed putback by Mr Robinson.
Utah Jazz 82 OKC 88 If your wondering why Durant hasn’t put up big numbers recently it’s because he doesn’t need to. We know he’s gonna put up 25 as soon as regular season starts and that’s good news for players like Reggie Jackson who has been showing that he’s ready to take the PG role while Westbrook heals up. 18 points, 7-10 shooting and Ibaka gets 17 points, 8 rebs and 4 blocks.
Detroit Pistons 86 Orlando Magic 87 I’ll say this now. Andre Drummond will be rebound king in 2 years time. 15 rebounds?! Yea I’m sticking with that prediction. One point game in Orlando and every Player on the Magic squad made some contribution to the win. No one stood out in the box score, it was all team effort and I think that’ll be their key for the future. Make sure everyone makes a positive contribution. That got them the win now and it will in later years I’m sure.
If there’s such thing as a good Monday. Hope you have that. Back tomorrow.
