In last season’s playoffs, the Celtics came out to represent the Eastern Conference after beating the Miami Heat in seven games. The Warriors made their return to the Finals, after a couple of seasons absent from the playoffs, beating the Dallas Mavericks in five games.
The series had the experience versus young talent theme as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were looking for their first ring with the franchise and the All-Star trio of the Warriors wanted their fourth ring together.
In the end, Stephen Curry led his team to win the series in six games and earned his first Finals MVP award.
