The NBA Global Camp was formerly known as Adidas Eurocamp until last summer but in April rumors started going around about Adidas pulling out his support of the event due to the recent scandals in college basketball. Just like the combine in Chicago, also in Treviso, there’ll be team interview sessions, shooting drills, five-on-five games, and strength and agility testing. Representatives from all NBA teams will be in Italy watching the event. Some of the NBA Academies all around the world will also be a part of the event. Some parts of the NBA Global Camp will be shown in live streaming on the NBA’s Facebook page.
Among the most intriguing names announced for the camp, we have Bosnian swingman Dzanan Musa, a potential first-round pick, German lengthy point-guard Isaac Bonga, who’s expected to be selected at some point in the second-round, Serbian three-pointer machine Vanja Marinkovic and Lithuanian wing Arnoldas Kulboka, who just won the Best Young Player of the Year award of Basketball Champions League.
To arrange the best event possible, NBA partnered with Warren LeGarie and Albert Hall, the men behind the Las Vegas Summer League, and Maurizio Gherardini, a former Toronto Raptors executive and current Fenerbahce Dogus GM.
