In what has not only become one of the most popular video game series for basketball but in the entire gaming world, NBA 2K continues to give customers a lot of what they want in each new edition.
It has already been revealed that Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving will be the cover athlete for NBA 2k18 and the game is expected to have a whole new look and feel to it. The MyGM/MyLeague game modes are also expected to be revamped with brand new features and an NBA player will have his music on the game’s soundtrack for the second time in its history in Damian Lillard.
As the much-anticipated September 19th release date approaches, the makers of NBA 2k18 continue to reveal new additions to the game that past years have lacked and one of those is a whole new selection of throwback teams. Following from the official NBA 2k Twitter account:

NBA 2k18 will feature the best team in the history of each franchise and you will also be able to choose from 16 new classic teams, making throwback gameplay more expansive than ever. While there had always been classic teams available, not every franchise got one, only the more memorable or iconic teams had that honor.
Now in this year's edition, you will be able to play with a throwback version of your favorite team, regardless of whether it's a historic roster. The 16 new classic teams expected should also add to the wider array of options in NBA 2k18, which should help its case for being the best 2k game to date.
