Game of Thrones fans, it’s time to start letting those walls down, at least according to Naomi Watts. Watts is a lead on the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel series, and she spoke to AP Entertainment about the series this week.
Watts mentioned how “intimidating” the entire ordeal was at first, especially after the response to the final season. But, she continued by saying that once she dove into the project and started reading the scripts, she got “goosebumps.” Watts will star in the series alongside Josh Whitehouse, Naomi Ackie, and Denise Gough. Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, Toby Regbo, and Miranda Richardson are also a part of the show’s massive cast.
Watts continued, reassuring fans that they’re making something special here. She even claimed that she thinks Thrones fans “won’t be let down.” Bold words considering the crazy fan backlash from the botched final season. But, with fresh faces across the cast and crew, this prequel could be exactly what Thrones fans need, a pallet cleanser.
