Monta Ellis Suffers Sprained Left Knee
Dallas Mavericks guard Monta Ellis suffered a sprained left knee in the Mavericks’ practice on Thursday, according to ESPN. Ellis is expected to at least miss the next two preseason games.
From Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle,
The diagnostic tests did not show any structural damage, which is great news. He’s got to do treatment and rehab. He’s going to miss two games for sure and then Monday we’ll update you.
Ellis was the only Maverick who played all 82 regular season games last year. He averaged 19 points and a team-high 5.7 assists for Dallas last season.
The Mavs will face the Indiana Pacers next in preseason action on Sunday.
