Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson says that he still has a bit left to give. During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the 56-year-old said that he’d still be willing to participate in an exhibition with either Roy Jones Jr. or Evander Holyfield.
“I could be persuaded,” Tyson said.
Mike Tyson last participated in an exhibition bout on November 28, 2020 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The New York native fought Jones Jr. to a split decision draw. Since then, rumors have attached him to exhibition bouts with Jake Paul and Evander Holyfield among others. However, Tyson has shot down those rumors and said that he’ll only return for an exhibition if the business makes sense.
“When I see the money people for the end of the product, my mind works clearer. I can’t express myself clearly now financially,” he said.
As for Tyson’s potential opponents, Jones Jr. has worked as a trainer for Chris Eubank Jr. and fought former UFC champion Anthony Pettis to a majority decision loss in 2023. Meanwhile, Holyfield participated in an exhibition bout against Vitor Belfort in 2021. More recently, he teamed up with Tyson to launch their line of “Holy Ears” edibles.
