The Undefeated has welcomed two new faces to its expanding family. Recently, Mike McCray and Erik Horne have both joined the outlet as senior editors. McCray joins The Undefeated after improving audience growth and retention at The Charlotte Observer for three years. Meanwhile, Horne spent the last two years as the news editor for The Athletic in Oklahoma City.
“I am very pleased to welcome Mike and Erik – two tremendously talented journalists – to the team,” The Undefeated‘s Editor-In-Chief Raina Kelley said in a press release.
“Their experience, creativity and innovation within the profession will expand our gaze on Black experience across sports, culture, fashion, and everything.”
McCray and Horne are the two newest additions to The Undefeated this year. Previously, Ed Guzman joined the outlet as the deputy sports editor.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of The Undefeated, and I am grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to the work and realizing what is possible with the incredible talent we have assembled,” Guzman said in a press release.
