To say I seen this coming I would be a liar but Mike Conley is officially the latest member of Jordan Brand. Mike Conley who just signed one of the biggest contracts to make him one of the highest paid players this off season, how do you top that. Well as a sneaker free agent, signing with the likes of Jordan Brand is the answer if you ask me. Even Nike but I like the fit of Mike Conley with Jumpman.
As the first round fourth overall pick in 2007 we have watched Conley lace ’em up with adidas for 8 seasons and then Under Armour last year. It was until over the Summer, Conley states in his interview with SLAM, how the JB situation came into fruition and how he feels about it.
“Nah, over the summer, I was still shopping around, wondering what I was going to do with my shoe deal and Jordan Brand popped up. They were interested, and obviously I’m interested in them. You kinda dream of being part of the Jordan Brand. It’s such an honor. It was an easy choice.”
Mike Conley also let it be known in his interview that he will be wearing Jordan’s throughout the season. Will he get his own shoe? That remains unknown but we will see what happens. As far as how his contract or how long he is signed for is unknown at the moment but if that information does present itself we will update you guys on that.
