Entertainment One has reportedly finalized a deal with former HBO President of Programming Michael Lombardo to lead the company’s television efforts. Prior to this deal, Lombardo worked with the company as a consultant. He will take on the role of his predecessor, Mark Gordon, who has returned to producing.
Lombardo worked for HBO for 33 years until he left in 2016. While at HBO, Lombardo worked on some of the network’s best show including Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, Veep and True Detective. During his time at HBO, Lombardo also served in roles such as EVP of Business Affairs, Production and Programming.
Entertainment One’s biggest project is Dungeons and Dragons. The film will be led by former Marvel Studios executive Jeremy Latcham. Latcham and Entertainment One agreed to a first-look deal last year.
