It’s been a about six weeks since the fifth season of Power ended in dramatic fashion. With so many questions about the show’s future plot, fans are already clamoring for the sixth season premiere. Today, viewers received a little more information about what the next season will hold.
The first of the two major developments is the upgrade of Michael J. Ferguson from an occasional character to a series regular. Ferguson is best known for his role as Dre’s henchman, 2-Bit. In season five, the two hit a major rift when Ferguson’s character made a few calls without the Dre’s prior approval. It will definitely be interesting to see what impact his increased presence will have on the series going forward.
In addition to Ferguson’s upgrade, Starz announced that Cynthia Addai-Robinson will join the Courtney Kemp led cast. Robinson is best known for her work in Arrow on CW TV and Spartacus on Starz. In the sixth season of Power, Robinson will play the role of Ramona Garrity, an insider with secrets of her own.
The sixth season of Power has not been issued an official release date, but will likely return in June of 2019 on Starz.
