First they introduce an initiative to deliver all-day breakfast but now it looks like more changes are coming to McDonald’s. The famed fast food chain who bares the world renowned “golden arches” is looking to replace their dollar menu, a staple with the company for some time now, once and for all.
If you guys haven’t noticed the “Dollar” menu hasn’t quite exactly been a dollar menu so with that being the case, McDonald’s is officially introducing what is being called “McPick 2”. While other competing franchises like Wendy’s have “4 for $4” where you get 4 items, subsequently a meal for $4; Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, fries and a drink.. So with this change, I am not too surprised.
The “McPick 2” is basically a second ditch effort at the beloved dollar menu but with an upgrade. Launching next year, January 4, 2016 the “McPick 2” menu will feature the McDouble, McChicken, small fries and the newly announced mozzarella sticks, allowing customers to pick two items for $2.
At the start of this deal McDonald’s will run the promotion for five weeks and plan to change the details of what is being offered but as for the name expect for that to stick around.
Personally I am still stuck on the new buttermilk/southern style chicken sandwiches so this new deal doesn’t have a positive or negative effect on me but with trying to figure out their next wave of deals to bring flexibility to customers that look for is ideal and that is totally understandable.
