Max, formerly known as HBO Max, has renewed Creature Commandos for a second season.
Creature Commandos is an animated series following “a group of military super humans comprised of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster and a gorgon.” Starring Indira Varma, Alan Tudyk and Frank Grillo, the animated series debuted Thursday, December 5 and is inching toward its season finale on Thursday, January 9. Ahead of the season finale, James Gunn revealed that there will be a post-credits surprise at the end of the episode.
The season finale will, yes,” Gunn told Deadline.
With that said, it’s important to note that Gunn did not specify what the post-credits scene will highlight or reveal regarding the show or other DC Entertainment Universe (DCEU) properties.
Creature Commandos is led by James Gunn, who also helms the forthcoming Superman film. Released last week, the first trailer for the highly-anticipated superhero movie “follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing.” Starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, the film will kick off the next chapter of the DCEU when it hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
