Ozuna is reportedly set to star in the forthcoming film, ODISEA. The feature film will follow the life, career and legacy of the GRAMMY Award winning musician.
“The feature film depicts a story of triumph, inspired by the life of one of the most transcendental figures of Latin music at a global level today,” a synopsis of the film reads, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“The plot tells the story of how Jan Carlos became ‘Ozuna’ throughout a life full of ups and downs — both personally as well as in his musical career, marked by lessons, setbacks, overcoming, love, and above all, a lot of humility and perseverance.”
Ozuna is no stranger to the limelight. The Puerto Rican star began his foray into music at 12 years old. Exactly 20 years later, he is one of the most recognized faces in music with five chart-topping albums, two Latin Grammy Awards, five Billboard Music Awards and four Guinness World Records.
Ozuna has also emerged as a force in television and film, earning roles in Tom & Jerry, Los Leones, Que León and F9. Now, he will work with Spanish filmmaker Alexis Morante to bring his story to the big screen.
“ODISEA is a project that we worked on with great dedication with the goal that my story can serve as an inspiration to children and young people to not stop pursuing their dreams, and never give up until they achieve them,” Morante told The Hollywood Reporter.
“We all have the ability to do it despite the obstacles that we face along the way. I am a living example of that.”
ODISEA does not yet have a streaming or standard release date. However, the trailer was release on Wednesday, December 25.
