Florida State Seminoles sophomore guard Matthew Cleveland has announced that he has entered the transfer portal this offseason. The ACC guard will be a highly sought-after transfer among high-major programs. While the Florida State season was surprisingly disappointing this past college basketball season, Cleveland continued to be a bright spot for the program in his second year. With two years of college eligibility left, he will be one of the top options at guard in the portal when programs look ahead to the 2023-24 college basketball season. Cleveland will have an interesting choice to make.

This past season as a sophomore for the Florida State Seminoles, Matthew Cleveland averaged 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 44.5 percent and a three-point percentage of 35 percent. Nearly 20 known programs have already reached out to the transfer guard and more are sure to come the longer he spends in the transfer portal. High major programs from across the NCAA will reach out to Cleveland in the coming days with lucrative NIL offers. A tough decision will loom for the rising junior.
