Former Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Matt Ryan has signed a deal with CBS Sports to be a football analyst for the network. After news of the deal broke, Ryan was clear that he has not retired as a quarterback from the NFL and still hopes to play. It is unclear exactly what his role will be as an analyst for CBS, but he is sure to serve in several roles with the network. Ryan has played for 15 seasons in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts. For now he will spend some time in the booth.

Matt Ryan said the following in a statement about the decision to join CBS Sports: “It is truly an honor to join this exceptional team at CBS Sports. I have been blessed to have incredible teammates throughout my career and I am fortunate that will continue here working with and learning from the very best in the industry.”
In his career with the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts, Matt Ryan completed 5,551 passes for 62,792 yards, 381 touchdowns, and 183 interceptions on 8,464 attempts. He also rushed the ball 515 times for 1,539 yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. The former NFL MVP still hopes to play in the NFL, but either way is likely near the end of his playing career.
