As expected, the HTM crew, (H)iroshi Fujiwara, (T)inker Hatfield and (M)ark Parker will all release their own sneakers for Air Max Day. We received an official unveiling for Hiroshi’s Nike Air Max LD-Zero H which is his take on the Air Max Zero with the working of the LD-1000. We then saw official pictures for Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Max 90 Ultra SuperFly which mixed the old with the new, taking the Air Max 90 and incorporating the Mercurial SuperFly bootie. Now that we have H-T, here is detailed pictures of M, Mark Parker’s Nike Air Max MP Ultra. The Nike Air Max MP Ultra is Mark’s reworking of the Air Classic BW Ultra. While no confirmed release date is known, it isn’t hard to assume they’ll release on Air Max Day and with the pictures shown below provided by Zzazin, we also get to see some of the HTM accessories that will accompany the Nike Air Max MP Ultra.
UPDATE: Nike has issued official pictures for Mark Parker’s Nike Air Max Ultra M along with release details as they will be available by way of the NIKE SNKRS App
Available March 24 for men exclusively via The Draw on SNKRS (12pm–1pm EDT)
As one of the visionaries that helped bring visible air to life, Mark Parker entered sneaker design history. Now, as CEO of Nike, he runs the world’s largest sports brand, but still finds time to collaborate with Tinker Hatfield and Hiroshi Fujiwara on Nike H-T-M, creating some of the most innovative sneakers since 2002.
In celebration of Air Max Day 2016, Parker redesigns the Air Max Ultra with a premium leather and jacquard-knit upper combined with a cored-out ultra midsole to give his Air Max Ultra M the modern, ultralight feel Nike is famous for.
“I designed those three running shoes: the Vengeance, the Vortex and the Vector. If you look at the V-Series, it’s a classic shoe of that design era. You have the tip, eyestay, counter, back tab, vamp, Swoosh, midsole, and outsole. Everything revolved around that formula. So there are a few hints of that in this Air Max. It’s an ode to the classic cut and sew design language of the 1980s, executed in a modern way.”
