
Former Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears running back Marion Barber was reportedly found dead in his apartment. The 38-year-old was found Wednesday by Frisco police and the cause of death is unknown at this time. Barber was set to turn 39 on June 10th. Police were sent out on a welfare check and are unable to provide any more information at this time.

Marion Barber who was nicknamed “The Barbarian” on the field spent six years with the Dallas Cowboys and then a single season with the Chicago Bears from 2005 to 2011. He recorded 4,780 rushing yards and 53 rushing touchdowns in his career while also catching 179 passes for 1,330 yards and six touchdowns. Barber was also named to one Pro Bowl in his NFL career in 2007 with the Dallas Cowboys. He will be missed by his family, friends, and former teammates.
