Mac Miller’s estate announces his first posthumous album Circles debuts on January 17, 2020.
The announcement comes with a heartfelt upload to Mac Miller’s Instagram account. Circles will be Mac Miller’s first project since his tragic death in September 2018. It follows his Grammy-nominated album Swimming. The two albums are meant to complement each other according to the social media post, creating a “Swimming in Circles” concept.
Mac Miller began working on Circles with Jon Brion before his death and according to the letter, Brion helped Mac Miller fine-tune the songs and finish the project. The Instagram post will reportedly be the only post on any of Mac Miller’s social channels, which remain the same since September 2018. The family of Mac Miller says the difficult process had no correct answers however they continue to appreciate fan support.
Circles stands as Mac Miller’s sixth studio album. Three men have been charged in his death.
