Perhaps the most intriguing talent out of the 2018 NBA Draft class, Slovenian guard Luka Doncic is expected to make an impact right off the bat for his Dallas Mavericks.
As one of the premier young names in the NBA, Luka Doncic, like many others in his draft class, will be playing under a shoe deal. According to Mavs writer Isaac Harris, Doncic will play his rookie season under contract with Nike.

Unlike many of his peers who have decided to venture from the typical apparel powerhouses to join brands such as Puma, Doncic will continue playing under Nike as he did with Real Madrid last year.
Still just 19 years old, Doncic already has professional experience under his belt, making him a unique player for not only the Dallas Mavericks but also shoe brands such as Nike.
Though it’s not confirmed how long Doncic will remain with Nike, he is at least secured for his rookie season. As one of the players from his class boasting true superstar potential, Nike may want to consider locking him up long-term as he figures to develop into an elite NBA guard sooner rather than later.
