As a new era is ushered into the NBA with the influx of young talent, Jordan Brand continues to make moves that set themselves up well for the future. After inking top pick Zion Williamson to a deal earlier in the year, they are now also nearing an agreement with superstar guard Luka Doncic.
According to The Vertical’s Shams Charania, Doncic and Jordan are closing in on a ‘lucrative multi-year’ deal.

Though official terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, it appears Luka Doncic will be the next marquee NBA athlete joining the historic Jordan brand. While it remains to be seen the role he plays within the brand, Doncic would be the first European-born player to ever have his own signature shoe with Jordan.
Along with Williamson and now also Doncic, Jordan has done a stellar job acquiring young talent to lead them into the future. Victor Oladipo, Jayson Tatum and Otto Porter are a few of Jordan’s other promising athletes.
Doncic has been nothing short of a revelation this season for Dallas, putting up gaudy numbers night in night out and leading them to a 19-9 record through their first 28 games. On the season, Doncic is averaging 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.9 assists and is in the early discussion for the MVP award.
