A major part of growing older, maturing and expressing confidence comes from a subtle understanding of who you are as a person. With her latest work, Little Simz appears to have done that. From jump street, the 27-year-old star puts her business out there with the title, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. However, the way she defines what an “introvert” is may differ from your definition.
“It’s me finding power within my introversion,” she told the Financial Times.
“People associate it with being really shy and quiet but I’m also very confident. I’ve never felt the need to be the loudest person in the room. I know my presence holds weight.”
Throughout the project, she takes time to reveal things about herself that she’s kept in for some time. However, she does it in her own way — subdued and subtle. Still, everything is done with detail and precision from her production to her wordplay. Best of all, she also uses unorthodox monologues from Emma Corrin of The Crown to punctuate the project. Not to mention, she included the uber-talented Cleo Sol on “Woman.” In the end, everything comes together in a beautiful way. Check out the album in its entirety below.
