Netflix has added yet another star to the cast of Knives Out II. This week, Academy Award nominee Leslie Osom Jr. has reportedly signed on to join the cast of the highly anticipated sequel. Odom Jr. is joining a cast that already includes Kathryn Hahn, Edward Norton, Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista and Janelle Monae.
Odom Jr. is coming off of his portrayal of Sam Cooke in Regina King’s directorial debut, One Night In Miami. His contributions to the film earned him not one, but two Academy Award nominations. In addition to Knives Out II, Odom Jr. will also appear in The Many Saints of Newark and Needle In A Timestack. He’s also working on an untitled project with actress Kerry Washington.
Momentum for Knives Out II has picked up steam in recent weeks. Netflix picked up the next two installments of the film franchise for nearly $400 million. Craig is set to return for the next two films, but it is unclear where the franchise will head after the first film. Production is set to begin this summer in Greece.
