LeBron James always knows what to say. Or does he? I’ve noticed a pattern of humble statements from him. Do you think he is shying away from any hint of cocky attitude? Think about it.
When he got to the Heat. All the LeBron haters threw their arms up in disbelief when he said “Not 5, not, 6, not 7”. And obviously the Heat never got to 5. But come on. You all know they’d be lucky to get to 5 NBA Finals let alone win 5+. He ain’t stupid.
Ever since he has returned to Cleveland. That confidence has not translated to his off court speaking. Couple of days ago he said the Bulls look better than them. What kind of soft talk is that?!
But. He does know how to send love to his teammates. According to Cleveland.com, he is giving his teammates a shout out. Saying Cleveland is not a big three. It’s a big fifteen. See what he did there?
“We’re not a Big Three, we’re a team,” James said afterwards. “We’re a Big Fifteen.”
“Are we ready for the (season opener), not right now,” James said. “We will be. We will be as ready as any team is ready for the first game of the season. At the first game of the season, you’re not ready to win the championship then.“
I expect them to get to the Finals. Not win it. I’m not stupid to sleep on the whole Western Conference. But I do expect them to win the East. If the Bulls get the East. Well. We’ll have to see won’t we?
