Here at Def Pen, we’re going to be trying some new things in this brand new year. One of the pieces that we’ll be adding to our regular rotation is a Late Night Round-Up, in which we highlight some of the previous nights best moments in late night TV.
The format will be fluid until we find the perfect flow, so feel free to leave suggestions in the comments below.
Out of all of the late night bits from last night, I think Jimmy Kimmel won the night.
His brand of absurdist humor was really on point when he sent his crew out on the street to try and gauge the public reaction to a nonexistent twitter beef between a 50 years plus dead icon and the current occupant of the white house.
Kimmel is a rare comedian that can be absurd, yet relatable which is one of the many reasons why his show has been so successful for so long. We’ve attached the aforementioned clip as well as the other highlights from last nights, late night tv lineup.
