Jimmy Kimmel took on the president last night in regard to his response to the tragedy in Charlottesville. Jimmy pulled no punches, landing blow after blow on to the president’s response. Highlighting just how non-controversial it is to take a stand against the KKK and Nazi’s. Jimmy Kimmel’s ability to inject humor into truly awful situations is next to none in my opinion when comparing him to the other current late night TV hosts. Fallon has played around with Trump and may have even played a small role in getting him elected. Though, In his defense, Fallon has since apologized for the interview. Colbert is great, but his delivery is can still be a bit mockumentary at times. Kimmel has the ability to simply convey why something is wrong, and why. He highlighted this ability earlier in the year when discussing his newborn’s child’s heart condition and how the Affordable Care Act truly saved his son’s and many others lives. Politics can be very tricky waters to navigate in late night during these divided times and Kimmel has shown once again that he is truly one of the best.
