It has been a crazy day in free agency, to say the least. Riley Rieff, Chance Warmack, Larry Warford, and Luke Joeckel have signed with new teams today.
Riley Rieff, the former Lions offensive tackle, has signed with the Vikings he will fill the void left by Matt Kalil after he signed with the Panthers. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news. The Vikings wanted Ricky Wagner but were outbid by the Lions and will essentially swap players.
Chance Warmack will sign with the Eagles on a one-year prove it type of deal. Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reported the deal. Warmack has disappointed as a former first-round pick from Alabama thus far but has a ton of potential. He will provide a nice depth piece for the Eagles.
Larry Warford inks a big deal to sign with the Saints. The former Lions guard will start right away for New Orleans. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported this news. The Saints made a big play for Kevin Zeitler but lost out to the Browns who made him the highest paid guard ever.
Luke Joeckel will sign a one-year deal worth $8 million to become the Seahawks new left tackle. Seattle has one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL so this is a welcome addition. They were major players for former Seahawk Russell Okun but were outbid by the Chargers. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported this story.
