Malone was only the coach of the Kings for 106 games, posting a record of 39-67.
The Kings are off to an 11-13 start, but have lost eight of their last 10. Which coincides with DeMarcus Cousins’ bout with viral meningitis.
The Kings next play Tuesday, when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are tied with Sacramento for 10th in the West.
Tyrone Corbin was head coach of the Utah Jazz from 2011-14 posting a record of 112-146. The Jazz declined to offer him a new contract after the end of last season.
