Sneaker Reporter Interviews KD about Upcoming KD7’s & KD8’s!
First things first, Salute to Travis Singleton aka @SneakerReporter for this interview with Kevin Durant, must be nice.
While we continue to wait on information to hit the e-streets about upcoming colorways for the Nike KD 7, the most recent to hit the internet being the ‘BHM’ colorway, we get some insight from KD himself about two colorways we all always look forward to. Those two colorways being, the Nike KD 7 ‘Christmas’ and the ever so elusive (to me atleast) Nike KD 7 ‘Aunt Pearl’.
Interesting enough, we get word that the Christmas KD7 this year will be based off of Egg Nog with a Christmas touch to it. The official colorway is Bright Crimson/Ivory-Emerald Green and drop on 12/26/14. These sound like a DEF Cop to me. Now the Aunt Pearls are gearing up to be yet another hit with fans as KD talks about the design being a shiny white/pink …”Simple, but Hot”
3) Lebron & Kobe’s Christmas shoe were revealed when will we see the KD7 Christmas sneaker?
It should be popping up really soon I can describe it for you though. The theme of this years KD7 is going to be based off of Egg Nog. You going to really love it, its like an creamish off white with that christmas touch to it.
4) What does the Aunt Pearl look like since thats always a big hit with the people?
The Aunt Pearl is different this year from the past years its going to be a shiny white and pink its going to be simple but hot. Just be on the look out because its going to be coming very soon.
I have yet to be successful with getting my hands on a pair of ‘Aunt Pearls’ hopefully this year changes things.
The most interesting part of this interview to me was the fact that KD let the cat out the bag about the upcoming Nike KD8.
5) Anymore KD7?s we should be looking forward too right now?
Honestly you should be wondering about the KD8 because thats going to change the game of sneakers. Its low top like the KD7 and has a sock like material that goes all the way up the leg. The KD8 should be dropping in July of 2015 around 4th of July time. Nike hasn’t sent me the images yet I’m still waiting on them.
Sounds like to me that the KD8 is taking a page out of Kobe’s book with the sock like material, I may be wrong but I am a big KD signature line fan so they have my attention already.
