Now that the smoke has cleared and Kevin Durant is officially a member of the Golden State Warriors, the focus for people like myself is his signature line. As we all know the Nike KD 9 has recently launched and two colorways have released thus far; ‘Zero‘ and ‘Premiere‘. With the next colorway ‘Mic Drop‘ coming this Saturday all eyes are on what is to come.
With being in Golden State, the sky is the limit for colorway possibilities and I know I am more than excited to see the GSW colorway also known as ‘On Court’. Well in a recent interview/press conference Kevin Durant was asked about his current signature and its pricing.
As we know the KD signature line started out costing $88, $85, $95, $115, $130, $150 and then a whopping $180. The Nike KD 9 is now set to retail for $150 and here’s what Kevin had to say about the pricing;
“As humbly as I can say it, I’m not a $88 player,” Durant said. “I’m an elite player in the league. I wanted everything to be affordable, but I knew we had to sacrifice some stuff. I just wanted the fans of the brand and of the shoe to just stay patient with me. And stay patient with who I am as a player, and the level I was trying to go to.”
