Baylor Bears guard Kendall Brown will declare for the 2022 NBA Draft and is expected to forgo his remaining college eligibility. The freshman spent his lone college season with Baylor and played his final game in the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament where the team was upset by the eight-seed North Carolina Tar Heels. He is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and could be selected as high as the NBA Lottery.

Kendall Brown joined a talented Baylor Bears roster and despite upperclassmen talent, he still found a way to shine. As a freshman for the team, he averaged 9.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 58.4 percent and a three-point percentage of 34.1 percent. Playing on an experienced roster coming off a National Championship win can be a difficult thing for a freshman, but Brown handled his role well. While he is not a lock for the NBA Lottery he does have plenty of time to impress NBA teams enough to make that a reality.

Players declaring for the NBA Draft is an experience for the players and their families. Kendall Brown has long dreamed about playing in the NBA one day and now he is just the 2022 NBA Draft away from it becoming a reality. The draft process is an opportunity to improve one’s draft stock and if Kendall Brown can do that he will hear his name called in the first 14 spots of the 2022 NBA Draft.
