Since being drafted into the NBA back in 2011, Kemba Walker has further since been a member of Under Armour. We have seen K-Walk sport several player exclusives of the Brand’s marquee basketball performance sneaker but with the years passing it looks like Kemba wasn’t blessed with the luxury of a signature shoe like the Steph Curry’s of the NBA. This doesn’t take away from the caliber of player that Walker is as he has positively progressed each year in the NBA and his future of being an All-Star is bright. Well now that his contract with Under Armour is officially up, it has been announced if not already obvious from some of the pre-season pictures, Kemba is now a member of his bosses’ Jordan Brand, that’s right Jordan Brand has now added Kemba Walker to their team. With him on the squad this now adds, Cody Zeller, Frank Kaminsky and Michael Kidd-Gilchrest’.
While Walker is the face of the Hornets, you can obviously tell it was a priority for Michael Jordan to sign him. With all the “rules” the NBA is trying to enforce on MJ with signing players, lets hope they don’t interfere with this new signing.
Check out Kemba rocking the ‘Grape’ 5’s below and lets see what else he laces up this year being that he has access to so many possible PE’s.
Kemba Walker confirms he has switched his shoe deal from Under Armour to Jordan Brand.
