The Carolina Panthers have signed former team cornerback Josh Norman for the remainder of the 2022-23 NFL season. He last played in the 2021-22 NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers. Norman began his career with the Carolina Panthers before playing for the Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, and San Francisco 49ers. The team signed him after an injury occurred to young star cornerback Jaycee Horn. Carolina has a chance to win the NFC South this season and make the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs. Norman was on the team when they lost Super Bowl 50 to the Denver Broncos.

Last season with the San Francisco 49ers, Josh Norman recorded 36 solo tackles, 49 total tackles, five passes defended, seven forced fumbles, and one interception that he returned for 40 yards. Norman has aged some since his last stint with the Carolina Panthers but can still provide some depth and veteran experience as the team attempts to make the 2022-23 NFL Playoffs. The team is hoping to get Jaycee Horn back this season, but either way, Norman can be impactful.
The Carolina Panthers are currently second in the NFC South with an overall record of 6-9 while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead the division with an overall record of 7-8. Carolina closes the regular season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints.
