Al Pacino is heading back to the 70s for his next role, and I’m not talking about The Irishman. The veteran actor is set to star in Amazon and Jordan Peele’s upcoming series Hunters, which received its first teaser on Friday.
Hunters hails from relatively untested writer David Weil. But he’s got the full backing of both Amazon and Jordan Peele so, he’s doing something right. That’s not even mentioning the rest of the STACKED cast which, along with Pacino, includes Logan Lerman, Carol Kane, Josh Radnor in starring roles. Jerrika Hinton And Tiffany Boone are also starring in the series.
Hunters will follow the titular group of would-be vigilantes as they hunt down Nazis in 1970s New York City. Sadly, the teaser is just that: a teaser. So, we don’t learn too much about the plot beyond that. But, the original series announcement from last year tells us that the Hunters will “seek out and dismantle a faction of suspected Nazis in the big apple that is conspiring to create a Nazi-like order in the United States.” Pretty exciting stuff.

Hunters has yet to receive an official drop date. But, it’s slated for release sometime next year exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
