Ladies and gentlemen, the Jordan Brand Space Jam Collection
2016 has been a great year for nostalgic reasoning. This year marks the 20th anniversary for the childhood favorite movie “Space Jam” featuring Michael Jordan and our favorite Looney Tunes. To celebrate, the good people at Jordan Brand are returning with the all-time classic Air Jordan 11 Retro “Space Jam”. With the original #45 of course.
To also celebrate the Space Jam anniversary the Air Jordan 9 “Space Jam” aka “OG” will be returning. As far sneakers are concerned the folks at JB have everything covered.
But that wasn’t all.. You didn’t think those two were all to expect right? Okay cool because we also have the Air Jordan 31 “Space Jam” set to release. And lastly the Air Jordan 1 Retro Ultra High “Space Jam”.
Taking to twitter, Jumpman posted a video announcing that #MonstarsBack. What if they came back? Well they are back. They didn’t come alone as the big bad Monstars ushered in new apparel. From Hats, Shirts, Jackets and more, all your footwear accessory essentials are at your disposal now.
To introduce a new generation to Space Jam, Jordan Brand is launching a global, integrated campaign that imagines a new take on the classic story — envisioning a world where the Monstars return to Earth demanding that we comply with their brand of basketball. Like the spirit of the original movie, the campaign will inspire a new generation of ballers to defy the Monstars’ soulless game.
The Space Jam Apparel Collection pulls inspiration from the movie’s famed rivals, the Tune Squad and the Monstars. The line features both iconic graphics from the original movie and modernized designs which pay homage to the classic black and concord colorway and memorable story lines, such as the Bugs Bunny Shakespeare Scene and Monstars villain uniforms.
